Gylfi Ólafsson and Fredrik Borgström published in New England Journal of Medicine
New England Journal of Medicine published a paper co-authored by Gylfi Ólafsson and Fredrik Borgström in its 14th April 2016 issue. The study is accompanied by an editorial. The paper presents the results of a randomised study comparing fusion and decompression for lumbar spinal stenosis to decompression only, showing that the additional cost of the former is not associated with better outcomes.

Fredrik Borgström and Oskar Ström of Quantify Research will be presenting research at the 2016 WCO-IOF-ESCEO conference. The conference will be held April 14-17 in Malaga, Spain.
Paper co-authored by Stefanie Luthman wins Janet Duffin Award
The paper “Rational number and proportional reasoning in early secondary school: towards principled improvement in mathematics”, co-authored by Stefanie Luthman of Quantify Research, has won the Janet Duffin Award. The Janet Duffin Award is made annually to the author(s) of the Research in Mathematics Education paper judged by the British Society for Research into Learning Mathematics (BSRLM) membership to be the most outstanding contribution to that journal that year.
Quantify Research becomes approved research institution at Statistics Norway
Quantify Research has, as the first private sector company outside of Norway, become an approved research institution at Statistics Norway. This is a formal requirement for accessing anonymized data. Statistics Norway collects data on e.g. socioeconomics relating to persons, establishments and enterprises in Norway.
