Yesterday, Quantify Research was invited to a hearing to present on the topic of managed entry agreement construction and follow up with Sveriges Kommuner och Regioner (within the regional collaboration model for medicines, “Regionernas Samverkansmodell för Läkemedel”).

Managed entry agreements (MEAs) are a mechanism for shifting post-approval uncertainties from payers to manufacturers. Currently, MEAs steer many reimbursement decisions, and they require follow-up to track conditions in the agreements.

There are various types of risk sharing arrangements in the MEA universe, ranging from simple price discounts to more sophisticated arrangements involving payments linked to whether a certain treatment goal is achieved (performance-based agreements).

Two of our experts, Konstantin Macheridis and Kelsi Smith, led the discussion around approaches, data sources and insights on how agreements can be followed up – And how Quantify supports this crucial work.
